Products: Tubs & Whirlpools

Since its development in the late 1950s, cultured marble has continued to be one of the most popular choices for tubs today due to its luxurious visual texture and solid construction.

Unlike materials such as acrylic and fiberglass that are available mostly in solid colors, cultured marble can provide virtually infinite number of colors and swirl patterns to complement any bathroom decor and design. Cultured marble has a solid feel. Unlike the filmy plastic feel of an acrylic or fiberglass tub, every Custom Quality Marble tub is constructed with a wall thickness that is on average 250%* thicker than most other cultured marble tub manufacturers. The extra thickness provides improved strength, durability and insulation to reduce heat loss. In contrast to thin acrylic or fiberglass tubs, the bottom of cultured marble tubs will not flex or exhibit the wobbling effect.

Whirlpool Systems

In this busy and hectic world, the home has become a haven for relaxation. The bath has evolved into a retreat from the stresses of everyday life. Hydrotherapy has been proven to energize the body and relieve tension. As a result, the whirlpool bathtub is fast becoming the most popular form of hydrotherapy today. The combination of hot water and whirlpool jet action creates a soothing form of therapy to relieve stress, medical aches and pains, and provide the user with a relaxing escape. In addition to the relaxing benefit, a whirlpool bathtub is a good investment that can increase the resale value of your home.

All CQM marble tubs can be fitted with a standard six jet whirlpool system. The system consists of a 1 hp pump, 6 adjustable jets (available in various colors and finishes), air activated on/off switch, and an air/water mixture control valve. Additional jets can also be custom mounted for additional comfort. An in-line heater or heat maintainer is also a good option to consider for those who like to stay a little longer in the relaxing tub without the worry of losing bath water temperature.

Not all whirlpool system are installed the same. At CQM, jets are mounted high in the back of the tub and low towards the drain. This allows water to properly drain from the pipes minimizing the chances of mold growth in the hoses as a result of trapped water. Our whirlpool systems are tested yearly by Universal Laboratories, Inc. with an average measurement of 0.03% water retention versus ANSI national specifications of 0.30%.
